Two-day conference program adds Asia eSports Forum
The second annual Asia Gaming Summit Taiwan kicked off Tuesday with a chance for attendees to acquire deeper knowledge of the booming Asian gaming business. Land-based gambling, online casinos, sports betting, eSports, and Asian lotteries are covered in-depth with the conference wrapping up with poolside drinks. The closing networking event was sponsored by Ganapati PLC, A Malta-licensed HTML5 Japanese slot game developer.
In addition to the two-day conference, the third day of post-conference workshops is being held Thursday.
Workshop I will focus on affiliate marketing, search engine optimization, and social media. The workshop’s title promises that the information presented is “The Way to a Successful Customer Acquisition and Retention Strategy“.
Workshop II will instruct attendees on a detailed step by step process for setting up their operations and offices in Taiwan.
A Wealth of Experience
The conference and summit present more than 30 thought leaders and innovators with success records in Asia and beyond. The C-level gathering is organized by Beacon Events and builds on the success of last year’s inaugural summit which saw more than 200 participants from over a dozen different countries. Attendees from Asian countries represented in excess of 60% of total the participation last year.
Online and land-based operators and licensing body authorities, as well as payment and solution providers, all make themselves available during more than 7 hours of networking events lending enhanced value to the summit.
Day One conferences were well attended with the agenda focusing on comparisons of different licensing regimes and new opportunities opening up in the region. This was followed by speakers who brought attention to diversification and innovation in online gaming and sports betting.
Keeping it interesting, and giving attendees a chance to mingle and make connections, QTech sponsored a networking drinks @ WET Bar. This was followed by a poker tournament.
Day two saw coverage of payment processes currently available in Asia with a particular focus on Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain, and ICOs. Operators, suppliers, and affiliates were introduced to the latest marketing solutions in Asia prior to the poolside networking drinks hosted by Ganapati.

Running back to back with the summit was Beacon’s latest addition, the Asia eSports Forum. Taiwan is one of the leading eSports hubs in the region. The industry segment has been quietly growing and now presents phenomenal opportunities for those with the insights to take advantage of the burgeoning industry. According to Beacon Events, eSports revenues are expected to reach USD 1.5 billion by 2020.
Some of the most prominent esports communities from Asia and beyond explored the latest business opportunities and market trends in Asia and enjoyed insider industry updates. Esports has already disrupted and is beginning to revolutionize several global industries, and organizers hope to make the forum a regular part of the Asia Gaming Summit.
Notable speakers included Jason Fung, Global eSports Director at Alisports; Chris Tran, General Manager – Southeast Asia Riot Gaming; Marina Bay Sands’ SVP of Marketing and Promotions, Peilai Qian, and Danny Chang, General Manager at Mineski, a world hub for eSports enthusiasts.
Day One focused on investment opportunities in the region with the second day of conferences covering innovation and technology and understanding the key factors that drive eSports revenues.
